AIO Absorptometer

TITEN AIO Absorptometer is a precise instrument based on torque measurement function, it is used to measure oil absorption value (OAN) for powder materials.

AIO Absorptometer is specially designed according to ASTMD-2414 standard, meanwhile it satisfies with ASTM D2414 new method-B method and C method, ASTM D 3493 method and ASTM D 6854 method (Silican dioxide)。

AIO Absorptometer testing principle

Adding liquid titration to powdered material, with the material is moistened, the torque is increasing gradually, and appear three abvious stage in the entire torque curve: free flow stage, condensation stage and end stage, with a sharpe increase in torque during the stage of condensation.

General carbon black for example: carbon black OAN is related to the rubber mixture properties of processing and vulcanization filled with this carbon black.

Conductive carbon black for example: carbon black OAN is directly related to the charge carrying capacity of battery, so that Absorptmeter is a very important quality control instrument in production and use of carbon black.

In order to meet more testing requirements and lower operation cost requirement from customers, TITEN developed specialized Absorptometer AIO-E/C with lower torque driving unit, mixer with funnel, 100ml/50ml titration pump for special powder materials testing, such as conductive carbon black, white carbon black, coatings and cosmetic raw materials, etc.
